Rural and Urban Development Policy

Nybll has both a rural and urban development strategy.  We support food producers in adjacent communities through our food supply chain.  The companies are considered local, organic, hydroponic in support of the local economy. Our urban development strategy includes locating our operations in urban neighborhoods where we intentionally hire from the community, minimize the wage gap, practice diverse and inclusive hiring, purchase inside the urban community to create economic benefit.  We also donate to organizations in the communities where we operate.

Nybll abides by, and expects its business partners to abide by The Animal Welfare Act that was signed into law in 1966. It is the only Federal law in the United States that regulates the treatment of animals in research, exhibition, transport, and by dealers.

Nybll abides by, and expects its business partners to abide by The Animal Welfare Act that was signed into law in 1966. It is the only Federal law in the United States that regulates the treatment of animals in research, exhibition, transport, and by dealers. As a company with a plant forward focus, we actively minimize the use of meat and dairy when possible in our recipes.  We believe this has positive impact on animal welfare and the planet due to reduced carbon emissions resulting from production.

Nybll uses Autochlor as our vendor for dishwashing systems across all accounts. Autochlor machines have the lowest rate of water usage out of anyone in the industry.

On November 19, 2008, EPA’s Design for Environment (DfE) Program recognized its newly appointed Safer Detergent Stewardship Initiative (SDSI) Champions and Partners. Through (SDSI), EPA’s Design for the Environment Program recognizes environmental leaders who voluntarily commit to the use of safer surfactants. Safer surfactants are surfactants that break down quickly to non-polluting compounds and help protect aquatic life in both fresh and salt water. Nonylphenol ethoxylates, commonly referred to as NPEs, are an example of a surfactant class that does not meet the definition of a safer surfactant.

Auto-Chlor System was recognized as SDSI Champion for having achieved the following:

Demonstrated the use of only safer surfactants in products

Documented a strategy for ensuring that going forward only safer surfactants are used in products
